AI subscriptions vs one-time purchases: what to know before you buy
At BuyNew Software we list three kinds of products: monthly subscription plans, software with a defined validity and warranty, and one-off licence deals with seats or credits. They look similar on a product card but behave very differently once you own them.
Monthly subscriptions
A subscription gives you access for one calendar month from activation. When the month ends, access stops unless you renew. The upside is predictability — a fixed monthly price, no long commitment, and the freedom to change plans as your needs change.
Validity-based licences
Many tools we list are sold with a validity period (for example, three months or a year) and a warranty duration. The warranty is our commitment: if the access stops working within the warranty window for a reason that is not your fault, we fix it or replace it. Always check the validity and warranty lines on a product's details page before ordering.
Seats and credits
Some products come with a number of seats (how many people can use the account) or credits (a usage allowance that drains as you consume features). If a tool bills by credits, estimate your monthly consumption first — running out of credits mid-project is the most common complaint we hear, and it is entirely avoidable with five minutes of planning.
How to choose
If you are testing a tool, prefer a short subscription or validity. If a tool is central to your work, a longer validity with a solid warranty usually works out cheaper per month. And if you are buying for a team, pay attention to seats — sharing one seat across five people is against the terms of most tools.
Every product page on BuyNew.in spells out its validity, warranty, seats and credits where applicable. If something is not clear, contact@buynew.in is one email away.
